We will treat all your Personal Information as confidential and we will keep it on a secure server, and we will fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation.

When you shop on this website, we will ask you to input and will collect personal information from you such as your name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, product selections, credit card or other payment information and a password. We may also collect information about where you are on the internet (eg the URL you came from, IP address, domain types like .co.uk and .com), your browser type, the country and telephone area code where your computer is located, the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit, and any search terms that you entered on our website (“User Information”). We may collect this information even if you do not register with us.

How do we use your personal Information

Personal information is information about an individual – this is also known as personal data.  When you place an order, we will require your name, email address, delivery address and correct payment details. Without this information it is not possible to process your request or keep you informed about the progress of your order. In line with GDPR legislation, your bank card details will not be retained.

If you wish to receive our newsletter, we will require your email information. You can change your mind about this at any time and we will remove you from our mailing list.

We will not release your Personal Information to any outside organisation.

We use Cookies to keep track of your current shopping session to personalise your experience and so that you may retrieve your shopping basket at any time – if you do not accept Cookies you will be unable to use this Website.

Please check back frequently to see any updates or changes to our privacy policy.

 What Are Cookies

Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer when you visit certain web pages. We use cookies to keep track of what you have in your basket, and to remember you when you return to our site.

If you don’t wish to enable cookies, you’ll still be able to browse the site. Most web browsers have cookies enabled but see Managing cookies for help to turn them on should you need to.

Please note that cookies can’t harm your computer. We don’t store personally identifiable information such as credit card details in cookies we create, but we do use encrypted information gathered from them to help improve your experience of the site. For example, they help us to identify and resolve errors, or to determine relevant related products to show you when you’re browsing.

We’re giving you this information as part of our initiative to comply with recent legislation, and to make sure we’re honest and clear about your privacy when using our website.

Our cookies don’t store sensitive information such as your name, address, or payment details: they simply hold the ‘key’ that, once you’re signed in, is associated with this information. However, if you’d prefer to restrict, block, or delete cookies, you can use your browser to do this. Each browser is different, so check the ‘Help’ menu of your browser (or your mobile phone’s handset manual) to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

Mailing List

If you choose to receive our newsletter, we will need to collect and store your email address.  We do not share this information with any other company.  You can unsubscribe to the newsletter at any time by emailing jo@joannasdesigns.co.uk.

Facebook and Instagram Advertising

This website uses a Facebook pixel, a small piece of JavaScript code, that is added to the website which helps to optimise our advertising campaigns. The Facebook pixel sends information about your browsing session through HTTP headers to Facebook, including the IP address, information about the web browser, page location, document, referrer and web browser user agent. Pixel-specific data includes pixel ID and Facebook cookie data to connect the events to a specific Facebook ad account and to make a match to a person known by Facebook. Facebook checks whether the person has previously seen or interacted with an ad from our account or if the person matches an audience rule and prepares an analytics report, which contains anonymized or aggregated data. Facebook keeps the information collected from the pixels for 180 days and stores the data collected in its production data centres in the US and in Sweden. Facebook supports the DAA’s AdChoices to opt out of behavioural advertising and you can check the corresponding settings at http://optout.aboutads.info to opt out from the Facebook pixel. You can also learn more about why you are seeing an ad through Facebook’s AdsPreferences.
